Systems Approach

Every writer struggles with staying organized. The Prolific Writers Life Productivity Workshop teaches you to design your system. It covers 3 areas:

  • Getting things done with Projects and Tasks.
  • Designing your habits to work for you instead of against you,
  • Taking smart notes that enhance your thinking and writing while improving your learning and memory.

Notion is a free tool that provides the flexibility to design your system to meet your needs. If you want a headstart, you can copy my notion template to get you started.

Getting Things Done

Every writer struggles with staying organized. These checklists will help you empty your brain and store it in a safe place. That safe place will depend on you. Is it a notebook? Is it your phone? Is it your laptop or desktop computer? That is up to you. But these steps will help you stay organized with your projects and tasks to achieve your goals.

Organize your ideas with smart notes

When writing a book, you research, learn, and organize the ideas you want to communicate. The Zettlekasten or slip box note card framework was invented in the 1500’s, but made famous in the 1900’s by a German Sociologist to produce 70 books and 400 scholarly articles in 30 years.
